The Chaîne de l'Espoir Luxembourg's mission is to help reduce the rate of infant mortality and morbidity resulting from cardiac, urological, orthopedic, ENT or other pathologies that can be treated by medico-surgical procedures. Strengthening access to specialized health care, improving the quality of care provided in partner hospitals through medical training and financing of equipment are at the heart of its action.

 

Essentially made up of volunteer medical staff, the Chaîne de l'Espoir Luxembourg is currently active in Jordan, Senegal, Rwanda and Bangladesh, countries in which it has conducted surgical missions (consultation and operation of children) as well as training . In the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, with the help of host families, it takes care of sick children who cannot be operated on in their country of origin.

 

The asbl Chaîne de l'Espoir Luxembourg is a Luxembourgish, non-political, non-confessional and non-profit organization. Since January 1, 2021, it has enjoyed the status of Non-Governmental Development Organization (NGDO) and that of an association recognized as a public utility.
